SuggestedLeadIn: West Brom manager Tony Pulis on Friday criticised the appointment of Anthony Taylor to referee one of the English Premier League’s top games this weekend and called for feedback from the referee’s chief Mike Riley over Taylor’s performance.
West Brom face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday and Pulis believes Louis Van Gaal’s side will hit top form soon stating “I actually think that United have a very, very good squad, it’s just waiting to kick-start and I don’t think they’re very far off that”.

“We’ve had no feedback whatsoever what the referee feels and thinks about those decisions and then I get the fine, the club got punished because I think we’ve dropped points because of those decisions and then you see that Anthony Taylor has got one of the top games (Stoke v Chelsea) this weekend. Mike (Riley, referee’s chief) has always said that he’s wanted feedback from the professional game, he’s wanted to get closer to us as an organisation. The LMA are doing the most they possibly can to try to bring us together, yet we get no feedback in respect of Anthony’s performance on Saturday.”

“Greg Dyke has been a fantastic advocate for transparency in FIFA and UEFA. I’ll be writing him a letter and asking him where my £8,000 is going to go. Because if it is going to go to a charity, because the FA are a non-profitable organisation. If it’s going to a charity, which I hope it is, I’d like to send it up to the Donna Louise Hospice in Stoke-on-Trent and I’d like transparency on that so that everyone can see that my money and let’s be fair there is enormous amounts of money being taken by the FA now in respect of managers being fined and I think we have a right. It’s not the FA’s money, it’s my money and I think I have a right to know where that money is going.”
